Carnaval de Arrecife – MJ is alive!?

Carnival is a time of riotous fun and revelry and provides a wonderful excuse to escape from monotonous daily routine, ditch our everyday attire and have some incredible fun.

What the tourist doesn’t see

I’m a tourism person. I like to see interesting places and take a lot of photos. In every new place you move/travel, it’s good to make some friends, cause they know the coolest places in the neighborhood. The places that tourists normally doesn’t see.

Today I had a great chance to see a place where even most of the local people haven’t been to. As it’s middle of nowhere and roads there are really bad, well, there are no roads, we had to loan a car. A big one :D

As you see from the photo, the place we were visiting was an old hotel.  Believe it or not, but there are people living in some “rooms”.

And some steps away from the hotel, there is a sea. You can see the cool masterpieces that lava has made. Need some salt? I have to get back there as soon as possible, cause I want to explore more of these little pools. There are lots of them. Everyone of them filled with interesting sea life.

I think now you see, why it’s good to have some local friends ;)
