Melinda Claudepierre - President and creator of Savvycents is a stay-at-home mom of three kids and has been married to Jon for thirteen years. She is a former teacher. Savvycents was first formed in January of 2009 after Melinda Claudpierre read a book about becoming debt free and following the cash envelope system of budgeting.

Today I will talk about my new wallet from Savvycents. First, I have to tell, that I’m in love with it. It’s the best wallet I have ever had! It contains everything you need to organize your budget. With the great file system you can separate different things you keep on your wallet (coupons, receipts, money, etc.)

 Savvycents wallet comes with file cards where you can label each category with their pre-printed labels. There are also blank labels where you can customize your wallet based on your personal categories. It also has 6 pockets for different credit and discount cards. On the opposite side there is a place for your driver’s license and a place for your checkbook.

It also has a coin pocket located on the backside of the wallet. The Savvycents coupon wallet is not only a functional organizer but also fashionable. The wallet is only 8" x 4", but can hold a lot of things you need for budgeting.

Some of you know, that I love sending and receiving mail. I have  been searching ways to make my outgoing mail more colorful and different from others. Thanks to Asspocket Productions I don’t have to keep searching anymore.

*Tell me a little bit about yourself.

I am a multimedia artist, natural born teacher and general mess about the house kind of woman. Proud of two grown sons and enjoying the empty nest for the most part.

*How long have you been a stamp and book-plate designer? How and why did you start?  

That is a funny and romantic story, I tell people I found a man on Ebay, and was the shipping ever outrageous! While buying custom stamps for a project I was working on and working with the seller to get just what I wanted we developed a friendship. I traveled 500+ miles to see if that friendship could be more, and so far it has worked very well. I came here in 2006, and learned the stamp biz by osmosis. I opened my own Etsy shop with my own designs in 2007, which has become full time work in addition to handling customer accounts for Amazing Arts.

*Where does your shop name come from?

It's the name of a fictional low budget documentary film crew that was featured in stories that my youngest son and I made up and told each other when he was a child.

*Where do you get your inspiration for the items in your shop?

My boyfriend's puns, Art, customer suggestions, historical bookplates.

*If you had to choose just one favorite item in your shop, what would it be?
